Craig Parrott: Guidance Counselor and Teacher at Lutheran High School Sophia Garcia embodies joy. She carries around a quiet confidence that all is well with her soul as she rests in the forgiveness, love, and righteousness of her Savior.
With Sophia, people are the product. Social, outgoing, and personable, Sophia loves to help people. She is a team player and a planner. Wherever she goes, she will bring the party. And her compassionate heart. Give her a song to sing or a mission trip to go on and she will be content.
Sr. Zoeller: Teacher at Lutheran High School Sophia Garcia is a natural leader. She was blessed from birth with a winsome personality, a clever mind, and a healthy upbringing and home life to foster those things. To see her in action is to know this is true and to hang out with her for any amount of time is to know what a blessing she is to those around her. I got to know Sophia during her junior year when she was a student in my classroom. Apart from being a good student academically, Sophia was the source of so much laughter and just overall joy in that class. She's the kind of student that, as a teacher, reminds you why you got into the profession to begin with. And as a father, it gives me hope to think that there will be people like her to be friends with my own kids when they get to high school, and maybe even babysit them in the meantime!
I am so blessed to have met Sophia and it makes me happy knowing that she is headed out into the world to share God's beauty of creation and life with people outside the walls of LuHi.
